The Residential Rental Unit Licence (RRUL) Application With the City Of London

When renting a unit in London, the unit needs to be registered with the city. Below is an outline of the process, as well as a list of the documents needed to be filled out.
The property owners or representative must submit the following documents for a Residential Rental Unit Licence (RRUL) Application:
> Application Form (completed & signed).
> Floor plans: 1 for each level of the dwelling (see floor plan guide).
> Self Certification Check-list: 1 checklist (per Unit).
> Supporting documents (if applicable – such as): Authorized Agent Form, Documents of Incorporation, a valid City of London Fire Permit.
Once submitted your application will be reviewed by the zoning officials who will then submit the application, take payment, and discuss the inspection process. If you have a valid fire certificate from the City of London Fire Department within the last year, you will forward it with your application.
